Job Description for AI/ML Developer – Voice Automation & Conversational AI Job Summary The AI/ML Developer – Voice Automation & Conversational AI is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining AI-driven voice automation and conversational AI applications. This role focuses on implementing natural language processing (NLP), speech AI, and machine learning (ML) models that improve call center automation, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. The AI/ML Developer works closely with engineers, analysts, and operations teams to deliver scalable, high-performance voice automation features integrated with telephony, CRM, and ticketing platforms. Roles & Responsibilities • Develop, test, and maintain AI and ML components for voice automation and conversational AI systems. • Implement NLP and LLM-based models for speech recognition, intent classification, and response generation. • Support the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for improved knowledge retrieval and automation accuracy. • Build integrations between AI systems and telephony platforms such as Amazon Connect, Genesys, Twilio, or Five9. • Develop APIs and backend services to connect voice bots with CRM and ticketing systems. • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for AI/ML model deployment and monitoring. • Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to optimize performance, scalability, and accuracy. • Perform testing, debugging, and maintenance of deployed AI models and applications. • Ensure all solutions adhere to organizational data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements. • Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and technical documentation. • Stay updated with evolving AI, speech recognition, and automation technologies. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related quantitative discipline. • 5 years of experience in AI/ML development, conversational AI, or automation system implementation. • Hands-on experience building and integrating AI or chatbot applications in production environments. • Understanding of machine learning principles, data preprocessing, and model deployment workflows. Required Skills • Proficiency in Python with experience using ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangChain. • Practical experience implementing speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), or chatbot systems. • Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, embedding’s, and NLP techniques such as semantic and vector search. • Experience developing APIs and microservices using FastAPI or Flask. • Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for AI model deployment. • Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins, and Git). • Experience integrating AI tools with CRM or telephony systems. • Strong debugging, testing, and version control skills. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment
