Position:
Business Development Counsellor
Objective of the Role
The Business Development Counsellor is responsible for engaging with prospective students and parents to understand their learning needs and provide appropriate solutions through structured counseling sessions. The role requires strong communication skills, a consultative approach, and a focus on meeting sales and conversion targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Engagement & Follow-ups
- Contact potential leads through calls, emails, or digital platforms.
- Understand the academic needs, challenges, and expectations of students and parents.
- Proactively follow up with interested leads and guide them through the decision-making process.
- Counseling & Product Demonstration
- Schedule and conduct one-on-one counseling sessions (in-person or virtual).
- Provide detailed and customized product demonstrations, showcasing features, content, and benefits.
- Address queries related to program offerings, pricing, curriculum, and learning outcomes.
- Sales & Conversion
- Convert counseling interactions into successful enrollments or subscriptions.
- Explain pricing models, installment/EMI options, and handle basic negotiations when needed.
- Achieve weekly/monthly sales and conversion targets.
- CRM Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all lead interactions in the CRM system.
- Submit daily and weekly performance reports to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth onboarding of enrolled students.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build trust-based rapport with students and parents.
- Ensure professionalism and empathy in all interactions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Goal-oriented and able to work under performance pressure.
- Basic proficiency with CRM tools, Zoom/Google Meet, and MS Excel.
