Job Title: Sales Head

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary:

The Sales Head will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and operations for the transformer manufacturing company. This includes managing the sales team, developing and executing sales plans, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Sales Head will work closely with other departments such as production, and finance to ensure the company's goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.- Set sales targets, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with company objectives.- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance and meet sales targets.- Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to enhance their skills and product knowledge.- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.- Serve as a key point of contact for major clients and manage customer accounts.- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.

Sales Operations:

- Oversee the development and negotiation of sales contracts and agreements.- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of products and customer satisfaction.- Work with the finance department to manage pricing, discounts, and payment terms.- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Collaboration:

- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and strategies.- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's products and brand.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management.- Analyze sales data to inform business decisions and strategies.- Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

- BE/Tech in Electrical and Electronics. PGDBM , Masters in Engineering or Business Administration is preferable.- Minimum of 20 years of experience in sales, with at least 8 years in a leadership role within the transformer manufacturing or electrical equipment industry.

Skills and Competencies:

- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed decisions.- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office applications.- In-depth knowledge of the transformer manufacturing industry and its market dynamics.

Work Environment:

- Based in an office setting with regular travel to customer sites, industry events, and company locations. Flexibility to work extended hours as required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
