About Manastu Space:
We are a Space Safety and Logistics Company, using technology to save the Trillion $ Space industry from Debris Pollution in Space . We believe that the problems of Earth can be solved using Space. However, the rapid increase in the number of satellites is also increasing the risk of satellite collision , leading to Debris pollution- making space a dangerous place for other satellites as well as astronauts. To prevent this, we are developing an Agile, Safe, Efficient and Affordable Green Propulsion System with a new fuel, engine and catalyst for the engine to avoid satellite collision in space and prevent Debris Pollution, which can hence be a potential green alternative to the current monopropellant propulsion technology.
Primary Objectives:
Join Manastu Space as a Propellant Lab Associate and be at the forefront of designing, building, and testing next-generation propulsion products for small satellites. Collaborate closely with engineers and chemists to develop and test green propellants. Gain valuable expertise in propulsion engineering, propellant chemistry, and engineering software while documenting and presenting results. Embrace our entrepreneurial culture, where proactive problem-solving and cross-departmental collaboration are encouraged. Be prepared to tackle diverse tasks and contribute to our fast-paced environment.
Conduct various laboratory tests, both chemical and physical in nature.
Ensure laboratory instruments and equipment are well-maintained, clean, and functional.
Set up chemical experiments and tests using standard analytical equipment.
Prepare necessary chemical solutions for experiments.
Prioritize and maintain a safe working environment for all.
Offer technical support in chemistry to fellow chemists, engineers, and technicians.
Manage material procurement and maintain inventory to keep supplies available.
Analyze and interpret test results and data.
Develop and implement sampling and analysis programs to uphold quality standards for incoming chemicals and standard solutions.
Create comprehensive technical reports and visual representations to document experimental findings.
Design and construct experimental equipment for testing new products and processes.
Innovate new chemical engineering techniques and production methods.
Search for and acquire new materials and tools as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and seeking a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Other relevant degrees are also acceptable.
Previous internship or research experience in the chemical, medical QA/QC or space industry is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
What you bring to the position, or have the ability to swiftly learn and be successful in:
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various analytical chemistry instruments and equipment, including tools like vacuum filtration, titration, spectroscopy, and refractometers.
Experience in safely handling chemicals, with knowledge in handling acids, alkalis, solvents, oxidizers, their interactions, hazard identification, production methods, and disposal procedures.
Hands-on skills in conducting tests and troubleshooting within a laboratory setting.
Ability to design and create experimental equipment for conducting a wide range of chemical and physical tests.
A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
Proficient in effectively communicating technical problems and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through written documents, visual presentations, and oral communication strategies.
Duration: 6 months internship
