Visual Arts Teacher Position Type Teaching Commence Date 19 Jan 2026 to 03 Jul 2026 Employment Status Fixed Term / Contract FTE/Hours per week 0.8 FTE Subject(s)/Grade The Arts Role Details We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Visual Arts Teacher to join our team in delivering an engaging program for students at Catholic Special School. This 0.8 FTE, contracted position, involving planning and teaching differentiated lessons from Reception to Year 12 across our two campuses. St Patrick's Special School at Dulwich and Our Lady of La Vang School at Flinders Park.  This role will work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at St Patrick's Special School and Thursdays and Fridays at Our Lady of La Vang School. The successful applicant will: Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Ethos of the school. Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary, inclusive pedagogy using the Australian Curriculum that responds to the learning needs of students with disabilities Demonstrate expertise in teaching of visual arts creating engaging and accessible learning experiences for students with diverse abilities. Possess highly developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues. Demonstrate an understanding of and experience in supporting students with complex behaviours and the implementation of emotional regulation strategies. Be an energetic, dynamic educator who is committed to ongoing personal and professional learning with a willingness to work collaboratively within teams, including our Allied Health Team. Applicants must hold current SA Teacher Registration and demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills. A commitment to inclusive education is essential.
