Laboratory Technician

• Assaying: Conducting various tests (e.g., fire assay, XRF analysis) to determine the purity of gold and other precious metals.
• Quality Control: Ensuring that all testing procedures are carried out accurately and consistently, adhering to established standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
• Record Keeping: Accurately documenting all test results, observations, and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
• Report Writing: Preparing detailed assay reports that accurately reflect the findings of the testing process.
• Hallmarking: Assisting in the hallmarking process by stamping approved articles with the appropriate hallmark.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines within the laboratory environment.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of testing materials and supplies.
