Pepsi Lipton is a Joint Venture formed between Unilever and PepsiCo to capitalize on the growth of the ready-to-drink TEA segment. It is a global business worth ca. 3 billion USD today, growing volume at ca. 8-9%. Our vision is to expand our global leadership in RTD tea and enter new benefit areas with both current and new brands.The Pepsi Lipton JV operates globally with three well-established brands Lipton, Brisk and Pure Leaf and recent acquisitions including Tazo, and T2. Our regional Supply Chain teams work directly with our business partners aka bottlers and play a pivotal role within the organization. They are a critical primary point of contact for cross-functional teams for Supply, Technical, and Commercialization matters.A role in the Pepsi Lipton JV gives you the opportunity to grow and learn from the best of both PepsiCo and Unilever parent companies in this focused joint venture business, whilst remaining a full employee of your parent company (Unilever or PepsiCo). The roles are broad in scope and provide opportunity to have impact within an end-to-end business unit with its own board of directors (50:50 Unilever: PepsiCo), whilst remaining in constant contact and using the talent and capabilities from both parent companies.We are looking for a Supply Chain Development Manager
to join our AMESAA team and to be based out of India. This role will be responsible for developing the E2E supply chain that enables the launch of Lipton Ice Tea in India with our relevant supply chain partners. The role will be responsible for designing optimal supply routes and required network capacity for the market growth ambition. The incumbent will work with the global Pepsi Lipton supply chain teams on relevant design of tea concentrate kits that enables the lowest cost and best quality product for the market. They will also form part of the global Technical community to ensure that the appropriate technology strategy is developed for India with our bottling partners and all line qualifications are done in compliance with our global standards. Operationally, they will be responsible for supply chain activities as part of the commercialization team for all innovation in the market, as well as liaising with our bottling partners in India on quality assurance/control and relevant compliance requirements. The role will also form part of the AMESAA Supply Chain team and ensure all planning and production activities are coordinated with relevant stakeholders in PLI and local bottling partners. The role will work in close partnership with PLI, PepsiCo, Unilever and Bottler Supply Chain teams.Responsibilities
AccountabilitiesThe Supply Chain Development Manager will lead the development of the supply and distribution network for India and will include the following accountabilities:Establish an optimal supply network and manufacturing strategy for IndiaIdentify, audit, qualify, and elevate to PLI standards the plants and lines to be used for LIT productionEstablish a reliable kits supply chain from Cork to IndiaLead demand planning, forecasting and S&OP cycles across market with bottlerCoordinate all supply chain, ordering, and shipping activities in collaboration with bottling partner to ensure high level of product availability with adequate safety stocks and to support growth ambitions.Lead the technical and quality agenda and act as an SME to the bottler on the manufacturing expertiseLead the commercialization agenda by coordinating with functional teams on active projects to ensure on time delivery.Sits in on monthly regional calls (MBRs) with senior leadership team to represent SC function for IndiaDefine manufacturing strategy and provide leadership to the business.Develop key relationships with Bottling PartnersApply Best Practice manufacturing standards in line with Lipton GMP’s and TCM communityImplement common global Lipton QA standards across the networkProvide relevant technical and SC knowledge and expertise to help drive PLI business and innovation implementation.Qualifications
Person Profile5+ Years Proven experience across Supply Planning & Logistics including S&OP.Strong project management skills and ability to deliver timely, quality resultsStrong business acumen: able to work across regional, global functions and stakeholders clearly communicating across many levels of the organisation.Strong leadership and people skills: ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally.Proven data-skills: familiarity with SAP, Excel, planning tools and ability to synthesize complex data and communicate to actionAcademic background: Engineering, Science preferredFluent in English.
