Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Food Manufacturing Supervisor at Mount Meru Foods. The Food Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day production operations and the smooth functioning of the facility. This includes supervising the production team, planning production schedules, ensuring quality control, and overseeing the maintenance of the facility and all machinery.


Qualifications

  • Supervisory skills, including leadership and team management
  • Experience in food manufacturing/FMCG
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a supervisor role
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and processes
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes
  • Understanding of food safety protocols and standards
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of civil work such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance
  • High school graduate (12th pass) or higher


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Oversee the production process in compliance with food safety protocols and manufacturing guidelines set by the company.
  • Oversee labour and enforce standard operating procedures and guidelines for facility cleanliness and hygiene, and day to day function. 
  • Oversee and manage repair and maintenance at the facility. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, civil work necessary. Co-ordinate with technicians and labour. 
  • Ensure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment. 
  • Handle delivery of raw material, inventory and product dispatch. 
  • Purchase necessary supplies from nearby markets.
  • Open the facility in the morning, take staff attendance, oversee the morning cleaning, and lock up the facility in evening after another round of cleaning. 
  • Ensure uninterrupted availability of supplies, coordinate with housekeeping supplier to replenish supplies regularly.
