Role:
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for playing a key role in leading and overseeing end-to-end software projects utilising multiple (JAVA/.Net/DB) technologies. Drive successful project execution by coordinating teams, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with business objectives at Kanerika. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills.
Technical project manager should work with the product development team in architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering solutions to clients. Technical managers are responsible for Solution Architecture/ Technical architecture, CI/ CD and ENG/ Coding best practices. They should Stay up to date on the latest technologies, trends and passion to integrate them in the product.
Technical manager should possess very strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to think conceptually and pragmatically; capable of communicating with senior executives and becoming a trusted advisor on Kanerika services and solutions. You possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm to embrace new challenges. You can multitask and prioritise (good time management skills), willing to display and learn. You should be able to work independently with less or no supervision. You should be process-oriented, have a methodical approach and demonstrate a quality-first approach.
What you will do
Key Responsibilities includes:
- Ensure that projects are delivered in line with Agile process and methodologies and maintain a predictable forecast for minimum 6 months.
- Participate in overall project management, time estimation, and resource scheduling.
- Prepare weekly/monthly project status reports.
- Effectively communicate project status, updates, and issues to senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare estimations on time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully Implement projects; develop the project plan incorporating all project variables
- Assist the development team to build the technical solutions, resolve the issues through analysis and recommending new business models, workflows, or innovative solutions.
- Lead the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to design, prototyping, development, testing, and deployment.
- Building a high-quality product development team and continue to drive to scale up.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively.
- Should be able to closely work with Account managers, Architects, Quality Leads, and other stakeholders to understand the product needs and develop features to meet those needs.
- Team management, defining goals, tracking, and following up along with mentoring the directs.
- Identify potential risks and address issues in product development and create strategies to mitigate them.
Requirements
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum experience required is 10-15 years in IT software industry.
- Strong understanding of software development; Java/.Net/DB background and hands-on programming experience is a must.
- Expert level code & architecture experience for more than 5 years
- 3+ years’ project management experience with end-to-end delivery
- Excellent communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Exceptional organizational, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Very Good experience in Solution Architecture/ Technical architecture, CI/ CD and ENG/ Coding best practices (along with tools used in the projects)
- Strong experience of executing projects in Agile Methodology
- Strong people Management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exposure to cloud-native delivery patterns as well as hybrid approaches will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with real-time data streams processing using Apache Kafka, Rabbit MQ will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge in one of the Data bases Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL will be preferred.
