This is a remote position.

Job Overview: 
As an B o okkeeper , you'll be responsible in efficiently managing accounting tasks like invoicing, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing. It includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing commission pay runs, and assisting with BAS and tax returns. On the compliance side, responsibilities involve managing company memberships, keeping records up to date, and conducting audits. Additionally, the role includes coordinating team meetings, investigating process improvements, and assisting with employee training while fostering a positive team culture.
Job Responsibilities: 
Bookkeeping:
  • Efficient handling of general bookkeeping duties including invoicing, reconciling bank accounts, loan accounts & other general ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable is completed in a timely manner. Collections of overdue accounts as required.
  • Data entry: Recording financial transactions and balancing the books.
  • Bank reconciliation: Cross-referencing the books against bank
  • statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy.
  • Monthly reports: Summarizing the business’s financial position
  • Accounts receivable (and credit control): Creating and sending invoices, and following up to get them paid.
  • Accounts payable: Making sure invoices from suppliers are accurate and paid in a timely manner.
  • Payroll: Calculating pay and deductions.
  • BAS: Monthly reporting.

Requirements
  • BAS Registered
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping.
  • Experience in compliance is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance priorities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly self-motivated with great time management.
  • Committed to continuing professional development.
  • A strong ethical mindset and demonstrated integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
