Job Description :


We are seeking a Lead Data Modeler/Architect with expertise in Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) and a strong background in data modeling, database design, and architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking sector and proficiency in tools such as Erwin, Teradata, and ETL technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead data modeling initiatives, design robust data architectures, and drive the implementation of scalable data solutions in a financial services environment.


Responsibilities :


- Lead the development and maintenance of data models and data architecture solutions based on the Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM).


- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, define data needs, and develop data models that align with business objectives.


- Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures for data warehousing, reporting, and analytics, ensuring high performance and data integrity.


- Utilize data modeling tools such as Erwin to create and manage data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.


- Define data standards, guidelines, and best practices for data modeling and database design, and ensure adherence to these standards across projects.


- Work closely with ETL developers to design and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various source systems into the data warehouse.


- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data modelers and architects, guiding them in data modeling techniques, best practices, and tools.


- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design and implement data storage solutions, including relational databases (e.g., Teradata) and data lakes.


- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards in data modeling, database design, and financial services, and apply them to enhance data architectures.


- Act as a subject matter expert on FSLDM and provide guidance to project teams on leveraging the data model effectively.


Qualifications :


- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


- 8+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and architecture, with a focus on financial services.


- Strong expertise in Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) and experience in implementing FSLDM-based solutions.


- Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin or similar tools.


- Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably Teradata, and exposure to data warehouse concepts and technologies.


- Experience with ETL tools and processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.


- Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.


- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.


- Experience in the banking sector or financial services industry would be highly advantageous.
