The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.’Job ResponsibilitiesComputer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Equipment Automation Developer is responsible for system design, application development and operational supporting needs, incorporating vendor products, including but not limited to:Transport System, Recipe Management System, Remote Control System, Live Equipment Monitoring System, Fault Detection System, Off-Route Control System (NPW).Collaborate closely with fab organization, operation users and partners to implement and develop robust CIM solutions through quality coding and testing.Hook-up semiconductor equipment with customized protocol (SECSGEM) through communication host.Build expertise in equipment communication, equipment performance tracking, process job management and carrier management.Parse equipment data for pertinent equipment and process information to support backend engineering systems.Working closely with the manufacturing (MFG) and Quality teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.Operational support responsibility:Provide consistent support to operations by monitoring and maintaining hardware and software systems. It is to ensure high uptime and reliability of automation tools and CIM related Systems.Manage DB transactions & Oracle packages for data management and performance tuning.Monitor equipment tool performance, ensuring availability of data transfer and compliance to operational requirements.Conduct regular maintenance and update of automation programs to ensure reliability.Implement adhoc requests to alleviate operational pain points.Perform troubleshooting of CIM issues and resolving them in a timely manner, focusing on both hardware and software causes.Participate in shift pass-down meetings and provide detailed reports or feedback on issues to the production and engineering teams.On-call is a necessity, or when on rotation basis, to support 24x7 operations.Share “lessons learned” with the production and engineering teams to improve line issues resolution and system optimization.Essential AttributesStrong programming skills in C, C#, C++, Java, SQL with minimum 2 years of development work.Keen interest to work in clean room environment, Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) projects and conduct quality checks.Willingness to learn SEMI standards and Semiconductor manufacturing processes.Strong sense of urgency in CIM operation support and execution.Practical problem-solving abilities during production-critical situations, while remaining composed under pressure, especially during system failures or production issues.Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging CIM systems.Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively; communicate technical issues and implement solutions effectively across functional teams.Adopt a proactive approach to identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.Excellent teamwork skills to work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams.Enthusiasm to learn new technologies, tools, and systems related to semiconductor domain and CIM implementation.Adapt to dynamic manufacturing environments and evolving needs.Strong time-management ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.QualificationsBE Degree in Mechanical (automation, robotics) or Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.Title of the position: CIM Equipment Automation DeveloperLocation: Dholera, GujaratDesired Experience LevelExperience in semiconductor foundry environment and/ or DevOps tool is a plus.Commute to this job’s locationWorking in an onsite setting2+ years of work experience with SECS/GEM2+ years of Semiconductor Manufacturing experience2+ years of work experience with Automation Engineering
