Based out of our R&D department, you will be joining the Cloud Application Migration team, consisting of skilled Azure Migration Engineers along with Application Development and DevOps Engineers. The global team, which is part of a SAFE train, is responsible for building & maintaining a modern large scale cloud environment that enables WS Audiology to release software in an efficient, secure & reliable manner.

As one of our experienced Cloud Migration Lead Engineer , you will be joining an international Scrum team with dedicated and skilled professionals to help build WS Audiology’s next generation cloud-based hearing aid software, used by Hearing Care Professionals to help serve their patient's needs.

Your profile should match to 1) performing assessment of existing applications, databases, and infrastructure to migrate to the Azure cloud with option to upgrade to current or higher framework versions. 2) Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migrations with scalable, high-performance solutions using public cloud technologies like Azure driving next-generation business outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the assessment of existing solutions and infrastructure to migrate to the Azure cloud with emphasis on code reuse, leveraging past investments and align to the future technical and business roadmaps. Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migration with scalable, high-performance solutions using Azure cloud technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cloud migration, including product owners, application owners, software architects, infrastructure teams, and security teams. Provide technical guidance and support to application teams and stakeholders throughout the cloud migration process. Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and integrate innovative approaches for sustained competitive advantage. Create and maintain playbooks for migration and modernization of applications, databases, and infrastructure, ensuring easy onboarding of new team members and effective knowledge transfer.

Your Experience:

Must Have Skills : Leading Assessments with migration tools like Azure Migrate – Application and Code Assessment for .NET, and .NET Upgrade Assistant , Azure Data Migration Assistant or equivalent 3rd party toolsExperience migrating apps to Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and optionally to Azure Container Apps, Azure Virtual Desktop 8-10 years of experience with async programming with C#, .NET Framework, .NET core and Azure Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices of both migration assessment and implementation. Experience in upgrade of .NET Frameworks and Code Reuse patterns. Experience in migrating SQL databases with Azure Database Migration Service or equivalent 3rdparty tools Containerize .NET web apps and migrate to Azure Kubernetes Service and Docker Good understanding of modern architectures (microservices, clean architecture, event bus or similar) BE/B.Tech degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
