Job Title: Sr. Application Engineer / Application Engineer – FEA Location: Chennai / Bengaluru Department: ESBU Reports To: Technical Manager Job Title : Senior Presales Application Engineer (ANSYS Specialist) The Opportunity Do you want to solve the world's most complex mechanical engineering problems? We are seeking a simulation expert to join our team as an Application Engineer. You won't just be running software; you will be acting as a trusted consultant to our most strategic customers, helping them innovate faster using the ANSYS ecosystem. What You’ll Do Solve the Unsolvable: Use your mastery of ANSYS Mechanical and CFD to simulate intricate scenarios that help customers overcome critical design hurdles. Empower the Field: Equip our sales team and fellow engineers with the technical knowledge they need to win. You are the "expert’s expert." Drive Customer Success: From the first demo to final implementation, you ensure the customer understands, utilizes, and loves the product. Teach & Lead: Lead training sessions that elevate the technical proficiency of both our clients and our internal teams. Minimum Education and Experience M.E or B.E. in Mechanical / Mechatronics/ Aerospace engineering A minimum of 5-8 year of ANSYS hands-on industrial experience Expert-level knowledge of structural, thermal, vibration and explicit. Use of ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS CFD, ANSYS LS-Dyna, ANSYS Twinbuilder, Digital Twin and related software packages Practical work experience in design, physical test, product development is an advantage Ability to work independently, as well as with other individuals/teams Experience in a customer-facing role would be a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively with customers. Problem-solving skills and ability to create engineering solutions to customer problems. Fluent in written and spoken English.
