Position:Senior Data ModelerExperience:7+ YearsShift:General ShiftLocation:RemoteRole OverviewWe are seeking an experiencedSenior Data Modelerto design, develop, and maintainconceptual, logical, and physical data modelsthat support business and analytical requirements. The ideal candidate will translate complex business needs into efficient and scalable data structures, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and performance across multiple platforms. This role also includes mentoring junior team members and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintainconceptual, logical, and physical data modelsfor OLTP systems, data warehouses, and data lakes.Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts totranslate business requirements into robust data models .Performdata profiling, analysis, and validationto ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Optimize existing data modelsfor performance, scalability, and efficient storage and retrieval.Establish and enforcedata modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks .Work withdata engineers, architects, and business teamsto develop and implement scalable data solutions.Create and maintaincomprehensive documentation , including data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and metadata.Mentor junior data modelers , promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.Utilize industry-standard data modeling tools such asErwin, ER/Studio, or equivalent platforms .Stay updated withemerging technologiesin data modeling, big data, and cloud data platforms.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding ofRDBMS, dimensional modeling, and big data technologies .Proficiency indata modeling toolssuch as Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar.Hands-on experience withSQLanddata warehousing concepts(data marts, ETL, etc.).Experience working withcloud-based data platforms(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skillsto collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Stronganalytical and problem-solving abilitiesto identify data patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.Ability tointerpret business requirementsand design data models aligned with organizational objectives.
