About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PostgreSQL developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions using PostgreSQL.

You will work closely with engineers and other developers to ensure our applications interact efficiently with the database.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement complex database solutions using PostgreSQL.
  • Possess a deep understanding of PostgreSQL concepts, including data types, functions, triggers, stored procedures, and indexes.
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL in a development environment.
  • Currently working on a development project that utilizes PostgreSQL (experience demonstrable through portfolio or references).
  • In-depth knowledge of all PostgreSQL objects, including tables, views, sequences, functions, and triggers.
  • Strong experience in SQL development, including writing efficient queries, joins, and data manipulation statements.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve PostgreSQL performance bottlenecks and optimize queries.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other developers to design database schemas that support application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests for database code to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in PostgreSQL development.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of database design and :
    • 6-8 years of experience as a PostgreSQL developer.
    • Strong understanding of relational database theory and principles.
    • Experience working with various data modeling techniques.
    • Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL.
    • Experience with version control systems like Git.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • A passion for database design and optimization.
