Distributed Systems Development Engineer

We are a stealth startup, top-tier silicon valley VC-funded multinational startup building a team in Bengaluru, India. Over the last year we have grown quite rapidly and built a solid team the Bay Area and Bangalore. We are continuing to expand the core engineering team that will build the foundation of this platform

Job Description:Looking for dreamers, coders, hackers who want to explore the frontiers of cloud securityCalling software engineers who are “thinkers”, “builders”, and “doers”, self-driven, and eager to learn the new cloud technologies.You will have opportunities to learn how to create a data analytics platform from scratch and scale them for millions of cloud users.Learn how to take real life problems around finding anomalies, and work on clustering problems using both supervised and unsupervised models.- Develop data pipelines to ingest, perform ETL transformations and store into a data lake.- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.- Create data transformation to drive dashboards, data engines and prediction applications.- Address data preparation and quality issues. Develop code to handle data irregularities and inconsistencies.- Learn and adhere to security best practices around data and enforce proper data governance.- Develop solutions to integrate with 3rd party systems for data ingestion and transformation.- Develop optimal query solutions across structured and unstructured data sources.- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in optimizing our product.

Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.- 2-10 yrs of industry experience in software development.- Strong programming background in at least one of C++, Java, Golang, or Python.

Strong Computer Science fundamentals :Operating Systems internals (Linux preferably)Distributed SystemsCore data structures such as b-trees, graph walks, optimizing for high performanceDatabases - SQL and NoSQL - must have experience in writing queries and performance optimization

Experience in the technologies below is a strong plus :Timescale DB, Cassandra, RDS, Neptune, Neo4j, RedisGremlin or openCypherGraphQLBig data processing systems - Kafka, Storm, Spark, HadoopCloud Computing Architectures - AWS, Azure or GCPWorkflow management - Temporal, Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow

Contributions to open source would also be a strong plus
