Job Responsibilities:

a. Accounts Payable

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests. Set invoices up for payment.
  • Track expenses and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and perform check runs.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts and monitor to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Prepare monthly reports and assist with month end closing.
  • Generate and send out invoices. Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
  • Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files, and records.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
  • Process credit card payments. Prepare bank deposits.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries.
  • Process adjustments and assist with month-end closing.

b. Bank

  • Timely posting of bank receipts and payment transactions in the system.
  • Update bank reconciliation.

c. Audit and Tax

  • Assist in finalisation of accounts with auditors.
  • Resolving queries with the auditors.
  • Preparation of financial statements as required by auditors.
  • Preparation of required information for filing of periodical VAT/GST/TAX forms and returns.

d. MIS

  • Monthly MIS reporting.
  • Accrual of expenses at month ends.

Skills & Experience:

  • 4-7 years of accounting experience.
  • Preferably a candidate who is available on an immediate basis.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (English Verbal and Written)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Driven and has a desire to grow with us and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Accustomed to Accounting Software.
