Responsibilities

Study and understand the allocated course. Plan and conduct the course delivery as per the need and requirement of students. Ensure the use of modern teaching aids for efficient delivery.

Design of Course. Conduct and assessment of exam as per the time-table. Initiate corrective action in case of non-conformity.

Maintain and update the course file on a continual basis.

Identify the curriculum gaps. Plan and organize guest lecture from eminent people in academics/ industry or research.

Initiate co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for student development. Plan and conduct the events and activities allocated.

Contribute in the administrative functioning of department as per the allocation of portfolio.

Coordinate with the other faculty members in department and institute for relevant activities.

Contribute in the development of labs and department library.

Facilitate the solving of difficulties, problems, queries of students.

Initiate ideas for student projects. Monitor the progress of allocated projects

Guide the project groups of second year, third year and final year students allotted if any and maintain record of the progress of the project. Ensure the timely completion of project.

Motivate the students for participating in technical events, project competitions, paper presentations, workshops and other activities

Initiate research in the chosen area of interest. Submit research proposals for funding from various agencies. Publications in journals and conferences of repute.

Attend workshops, seminars, conferences, FDPs, industrial training for knowledge and skill upgrade. Organize continuing education programs.

Analyze the effectiveness of corrective action taken and review accordingly.

Make alternate arrangements in case of leave or absence. Plan for extra/lecturers/ practicals if needed.

Maintain and practice standard ISO processes defined in the quality system manual of the department.

Preparation of Lab Manual for the allocated course by performing the practicals before the start of term.

Sign Service Book Record once in a semester

Update of Personal File and records.

Any other duty as assigned by HoD or Director from time-to-time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and masters degree in engineering from the reputed organization
  • Preferably PhD / Pursuing PhD
  • Excellent verbal communication skills & teaching skills and subject knowledge
  • Strong leadership, and team building skills
  • Good relevant experience (Teaching/Industry) in the reputed organization.
