We are looking for an enthusiastic and visionary Makerspace Coordinator to lead our vibrant makerspace and robotics programs.


Role Summary:

As the Makerspace Educator, you will be responsible for developing and leading our STEM and robotics curriculum, managing the makerspace, and inspiring students to engage in hands-on, project-based learning. You will lead the integration of technology and fabrication tools, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and robotics kits, into student learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive STEM curriculum with a special focus on robotics and digital fabrication.
  • Manage the daily operations of the makerspace, including maintenance of equipment, scheduling, and safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor students on using various tools and technologies safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate makerspace activities across different subjects.
  • Organize workshops, competitions, and events that promote creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in STEM education and makerspace trends to continually enhance the program.
  • Manage budgeting for the makerspace, including procurement of materials and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in teaching STEM subjects and managing a makerspace or similar environment.
  • Strong technical skills with experience in robotics, coding, and digital fabrication tools.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Passion for education and a strong desire to motivate students through innovative educational practices.
