Team Purpose

The Managed Network & Security Team is responsible for the management of the Network & Security devices in Getronics Datacentres, connectivity towards customers and cloud providers, and on-premises network & security implementations at our Customers. You should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills and have confidence in working on your own initiative. You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday-Friday, Weekly On-call will be on a rotational basis.

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced professional who is an autonomous, experienced, and self-driven Network fanatic.

The role is to proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security devices, act on alarms from our network management systems, and act on incidents reported by our customers. Troubleshoot & analyze incidents and changes and make suggestions to fix and implement the solution. Test and deploy software upgrades or security patches. Work as a full member of our international team that consists out of 50 Engineers globally. As a Cisco ACI Technical Consultant, you will be heavily engaged to personalize their customers’ experience and ensure a successful Cisco ACI migration and support experience. In this role, you will develop a working partnership to mitigate risks and troubleshoot to resolve technical issues for our esteemed customers. You will engage both proactively and reactively with the customer to address any technical needs. You will also provide escalation management for any technical issues encountered with customers enterprise deployment, resulting in faster time to value

Job Title - Technical Consultant – Network & (Cisco ACI)

Relevant Experience - 8 + years

Responsibilities

•Manages the design, implementation, and ongoing management of mainly Cisco environment, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments.

•Coordinates with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance.

•Makes recommendations to senior management on new technologies and products for enhancement of the network.

• Leads and participates in the installation of Network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions. Tests, debugs and analyses performance, and documents infrastructure components.

• Develops Network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software. Develops and recommends technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.

• Monitors and analyses network and provides results on a regular basis. Takes corrective action to improve data network.

• Responds to emergency situations and can perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.

• Assist in guiding, training, instructing, and assisting others at peer or lower levels on technical issues and products.

• Other duties as assigned. This role involves client interaction.

The scope of products / vendors covers –

Primarily Cisco (Routing/Switching), F5 Load Balancers (LTM, ASM, APM, GTM)

• Act on Incidents reported by our network management tools.

• Act on Incidents reported by the customer (via our service desk)

• Proactively test & upgrade software on various devices

• Analyse capacity management reports & propose improvements.

• Prepare and execute Change requests.

• Remotely Configure new devices

• Interact with multiple teams (Helpdesk, Customer, Service delivery Mgr.)

• Make technical advisory / designs for customer network migrations.

• Make technical advisory to improve customer security environment.

• Communicate & raise incidents to 3the party (vendors / telecom providers)

• Create and update documentation sets.

• Propose improvement plans (technical & human activity)

• Proactively seek guidance from peers and seniors where required.

• Team presentations on your activities

Propose improvements for our network management tools / Configuration.

• Analyse reporting before used by Service Delivery Manager

• Understand vendor product / solution evolutions

Core Skills

•Minimum 8 years of working relevant experience Mandatory.

• Masters/Graduate degree holder

• Design, Deploy & mange data centre network using Cisco ACI.

• Design, configure, implement Data centre infrastructure in large enterprise data centre.

• Hands on experience in Cisco ACI for design, implementation, deployment & migration.

• Experience with various components of Cisco's ACI solutions, including: APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller), End Point Groups (EPG), Tenant, Bridge Domain (BD), VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) and Infrastructure Policy

• Effective English speaking & writing skills.

• Hands-on experience to work in an ITIL structured organisation dealing with Incident / Change / Problem management.

• Awareness ITIL® V3 framework

• Documentation (MS Word) & drawing (MS Visio ) updates

• Participating in Team & Customer meetings.

• Effective English speaking & writing skills.
