Role Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Scala Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Scala development, with significant experience in Java.

The role involves working with Elastic (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) APIs, managing migration projects, and maintaining strong SQL and database skills.

A good understanding of the global market domain, particularly in back-office and reconciliation functions, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities :

Scala Development :

- Develop, test, and maintain applications using Scala.

- Utilize strong Java knowledge to support Scala development tasks.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Elastic Stack :

- Work with Elastic (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) APIs for data indexing and visualization.

- Participate in migration projects involving Elastic Stack components.

- Optimize and manage the performance of Elastic-based solutions.

Database Management :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and database structures.

- Ensure high performance, security, and availability of databases.

- Perform database tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Domain Knowledge :

- Apply knowledge of the global market domain, particularly in back-office and reconciliation functions.

- Work closely with domain experts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Ensure solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Support :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Offer technical support and guidance to junior developers and other team members.

Documentation :

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development activities.

- Document technical specifications, architecture designs, and implementation details.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4 - 8 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Scala and Java.

- Proficiency with Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) and related APIs.

- Strong SQL and database management skills.

- Good understanding of the global market domain, specifically in back-office and reconciliation functions.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with big data technologies and frameworks.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
