Job Description :

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst (L1), you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organization's IT infrastructure by monitoring and analyzing security incidents.

This is a permanent, rotational shift position located in Airoli.

Responsibilities :

Incident Monitoring and Analysis :

- Continuously monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for security alerts and events.

- Analyze and prioritize security alerts to determine potential threats.

- Investigate incidents according to established procedures, including log analysis and threat intelligence research.

- Document incident findings and recommendations based on security best practices.

Alert Response and Escalation :

- Respond to security alerts within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Coordinate with the Support Team and other technical teams to resolve identified security incidents.

- Escalate high-priority incidents to senior analysts or security engineers for further investigation.

Reporting and Communication :

- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly security reports from SIEM data, including analysis and insights.

- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding security incidents and ongoing threats.

- Work collaboratively with users to understand and resolve security issues.

Security Content Management :

- Assist in developing and fine-tuning security content (e.g., rules, detections) for SIEM tools based on evolving threats.

- Stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.


Skills and Qualifications :

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or related role.

- Strong understanding of security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.

- Experience working with SIEM tools for security event monitoring and analysis.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
