We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, managing, and optimising our European system infrastructure. You will be responsible for our VMware vSphere systems, Windows Server, Enterprise Storage, Active Directory, SCCM / Intune, and Office 365 environment , providing business-critical IT services across European sites. What you will do:

  • Manage, maintain, deploy, and configure VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage, maintain, deploy and configure Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage and configure our deployment systems, including but not limited to System Center Configuration (SCCM), Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Manage, maintain, deploy and configure Enterprise Storage Networks, including Dell, HP and Synology
  • Manage, maintain, deploy and configure Backup and Recovery appliances across our European sites.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery Systems across our European Sites (VMware Site Recovery Manager)
  • Manage and Consolidate Active Directory, Group Policy, MFA,
  • Manage, maintain and configure Microsoft Office SharePoint / File storage systems
  • Manage Cloud Based Systems including but not limited to Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes and services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure performance, security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate infrastructure-related risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Enterprise Systems, and Security, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions with other business functions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on infrastructure initiatives, performance, and challenges.
  • Manage and deliver complex infrastructure projects to agreed time and budget allocations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Your skills and requirements:

  • Minimum ten years of IT experience working as a Systems Administrator for European or US companies supporting complex infrastructure across European sites
  • Minimum three years of Senior Systems Administrator Experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English. Demonstrated cultural competency to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams across European countries.
  • Resilience in facing challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on solutions.
  • Extensive experience managing VMware technologies, including vSphere, ESXi, DRS and SRM. VCP Preferred
  • Technical depth and experience with Microsoft Technologies (Server OS, Applications, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Intune and Management tools). MCP / MCSA Preferred.
  • Technical depth and experience in cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
  • ITIL experience including problem, change and configuration management. ITIL Foundation or Higher Qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects within designated timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Strong PowerShell knowledge and automating system processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven experience in automation and scripting.
  • Availability to travel up to 10%;
