Job Details: Job Title: Linux Admin (90%) with DevOps (10%) Duration: Contract (On the Payroll of Datum Technology Group) Location: Chennai || Mumbai || Gurugram Interview Process: Virtual (2 Rounds) + 1 Technical screening.Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux Admin with DevOps Engineer background and hands-on experience of scripting. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing system configurations, and ensuring the security of our systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, and automateLinux-based infrastructure(CentOS/RHEL preferably). Build and maintainCI/CD pipelinesusing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Write and maintainAnsible playbooksfor configuration management and infrastructure automation. Develop and maintainBashandPython scriptsfor automation, monitoring, and tool integration. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across dev, staging, and production environments. Knowledge and experience on data processing and analysis (Splunk preferably). Participate security vulnerability discovery and remediation to secure our production environments. Manage and operate On-Prem and cloud infrastructure.Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experiencein aLinux System Administration role withDevOps or Site Reliability Engineering Hands-on experience ofLinux system administration(RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distros). Hands-on experience ofconfiguration managementand automation (Puppet, Ansible or similar tools). Solid scripting skills inBashandPython . Knowledge and experiences ofJSONandYAMLdata processing. Knowledge and experiences ofCI/CD tools(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD...). Familiarity with version control systems, particularlyGit . Good understanding of networking, firewalls, DNS, and system monitoring. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.Preferred Qualifications: Good knowledge ofRESTful APIintegration. Exposure tocloud platformssuch as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Familiarity withmonitoringandloggingtools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Understanding of virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes is a plus). Experience ofTerraformor other infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. Experience of secure software delivery (DevSecOps mindset).Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team. Passion for automation, system reliability, and operational excellence.
