Job Description: Storage Firmware Automation Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Storage Firmware Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks for testing storage firmware, ensuring high quality and reliability of our storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for storage firmware validation.
- Collaborate with firmware developers to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report issues.
- Continuously improve and optimize automation processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of automated tests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 8+ years of experience in firmware automation, preferably in storage or embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Python scripting language
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (e.g., NVMe, SATA, SCSI) and flash memory technologies.
- Knowledge of Firmware Architecture and experience in USB/SD/SATA/NVMe/PCIe protocols.
- Experience in doing failure analysis with respect to reproducing and root causing the issues
- Knowledge of IO tools, Protocol analyzers, Debugging tools for Embedded Systems.
- Good at problem solving and analytical skills.
