DescriptionThis is a full-time in office/on-site role for a Structural Engineer - Constructions located in Mumbai.Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood and glass structuresTechnical Competencies & ExpertiseA Structural Engineer must demonstrate proficiency in the following domains:1. Structural Design & AnalysisRCC , PEB & Steel structure design as per IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, IS 875),, IS 1893:2016,IS 800:2007,IS 801:1975,IS 875 (Part 1–5), MBMA / AISC (US Codes)Design of foundations, beams, columns, slabs, retaining walls, and staircases.Seismic and wind load analysis.Soil-structure interaction understanding.Structural retrofitting and strengthening methods.2. Software ProficiencyEssential: STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD.Preferred: SAFE, SAP2000, Tekla, Revit, MS Excel (for design sheets), and BIM tools.Ability to generate analytical models and optimize design efficiency.3. Construction & DetailingPreparation and review of structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and reinforcement details.Coordination with architects and MEP consultants for structural compatibility.Site inspections to verify formwork, reinforcement, and concreting quality.4. Code & Standards KnowledgeIndian Standards: IS 456, IS 3370, IS 800, IS 875 (Parts 1–5), IS 1893, IS 13920, SP34, NBC 2016.International familiarity (advantageous): ACI, BS, or Euro Codes.5. Project Management & DocumentationPreparation of structural calculation reports, design notes, and technical presentations.Ability to lead structural audits and provide stability certificates.Cost optimization and value engineering while maintaining safety.6) Demonstrate proficiency in· Analyze gravity and lateral load resisting systems· Design and detail structural elements· Create drawings and communicate with Drafting and BIM Department· Coordinate drawings with other disciplines (Architects, MEP Engineers, etc.)· Respond to RFI’s and review drawings· Visit construction sites & drive progress and rectify process flows if anyQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldStructural Analysis and Calculations skillsStructural Engineering and Civil Engineering experienceRequired Skillsets:RCC & Steel Structure DesignFoundation, Slab & Load Analysis (as per IS Codes)Earthquake-resistant detailingPreparation of Structural Drawings & BOQsCoordination with architects and site teamsProficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesExperience with industry standards and regulationsEXPEREINCE:Minimum 5 years of experience & 2 years in handling multiple sites .
