Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare detailed drawings of process systems, equipment layouts, piping, and instrumentation, following project specifications and standards.
  • Work closely with process engineers to translate process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical documentation into detailed construction drawings.
  • Update and revise existing drawings as necessary to accommodate changes in design or scope.
  • Ensure that drawings are accurate, properly annotated, and consistent with project requirements.
  • Review and understand technical specifications, material lists, and drawings to provide feedback and suggestions.
  • Assist in creating schematics, plans, and layouts for new and modified systems and equipment.
  • Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) to draft process and mechanical system diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to process design, safety, and environmental concerns.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure drawings are aligned with project timelines and requirements.
  • Perform design calculations or support engineers in ensuring the feasibility of proposed design solutions.

Maintain a clear record of revisions, drawings, and any design changes in a centralized database
