About Cyber-Periscope:

Cyber-Periscope is seeking a dedicated and adept Senior Backend Software Engineer to play an instrumental role in the development of our core orchestration and workflow capabilities. As an invaluable member of our platform team, your commitment to detailed performance, unparalleled reliability, and scalable excellence will be pivotal in our journey to maintain an industry-leading position. You will liaise with product managers, engineers, and our internal and external services, bringing to life next-level application development.


Responsibilities:

·     Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the central backend services and orchestration layer of our platform for customers and in-house developers.

·     Design and deploy highly scalable, resilient distributed systems.

·     Harness the power of innovative technologies such as Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis, and more.

·     Engage in cross-team, platform-level initiatives and projects.

·     Identify and rectify critical production challenges, crafting enduring solutions


What You'll Need:

·     A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a field of similar relevance, or commensurate professional experience.

·     Demonstrable programming skills in Python,Java, Go, or similar languages.

·     An understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools, including but not limited to Git, Jenkins, and metrics/log monitoring tools like Grafana and Splunk.

·     A minimum of 5 years' experience in backend software development within a SaaS framework.

·     Proven experience in developing distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.

·     Familiarity in constructing large-scale streaming platforms (Note: Our architecture processes over a trillion events daily).

·     Proficiency in creating applications utilizing both SQL and No-SQL databases.

·     Practical experience with commercial cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).


Preferred Qualifications:

·     Active participation in the open-source community, whether through GitHub, Stack Overflow, or blogging endeavors.

·     Holding a Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related specialization.

·     Proficiency in Golang.

·     Previous engagement in the cybersecurity sector.

·  Also need some familiarity with security and threat intelligence integration, as well as deeper knowledge of SOAR platforms for incident automation.
