Job Responsibilities:

ML/AI Thought Leadership & Consultative Problem Definition:Act as a trusted advisor on big data and analytical techniques.Educate stakeholders on AI/ML trends and their implications.Translate business problems into data science hypotheses and design experimental methodologies.

Exploratory Data Analysis & Data Wrangling:Validate, cleanse, normalize, and reconcile data.Apply optimization techniques like EDA and data mining.Organize data from diverse sources for analysis.Evaluate data quality and relevance.

Delivering Innovative Analysis, Models & Insights:Utilize quantitative methods for business and advanced data science.Solve complex problems with statistical and computational methods.Apply NLP, machine learning, and deep learning in various domains.Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.Build applications for public cloud environments (AWS preferred).Implement MLOps for automation and ML workflow management.

Communication, Leadership & Implications:Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly.Synthesize analytical findings into actionable recommendations.Develop technical reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders.Present research results and increase company visibility through publications.

Planning, Execution & Management:Manage relationships with clients and internal partners.Lead teams on prioritized research projects.Execute large-scale analytical projects within time, quality, and budget constraints.Recruit, mentor, and coach data scientists.Coordinate project assignments to ensure high-quality results and team satisfaction.

Technologies and Tools:SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Python, R, Graph DatabasesAdvanced analytics, AI/ML techniques, data mining, programming, and real-world business applications.

Job Requirements:Master’s Degree (PhD Preferred) in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Chemistry, Physics, Bioinformatics, Data Science).12+ years of relevant experience with modern data science and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Python, R, Graph Databases).

Preferred:Knowledge in chemistry, drug discovery/development, materials science, or medical related industry.Experience leading consulting engagements or internal shared service organizations.
