Job Overview:


∙Bellatrix Aerospace is developing special type of electric motors needed for space application and will be used both in satellites and launch vehicle systems. The team at Bellatrix for development of this product and its qualification to flight standard comprises both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.


∙In this role, Designer will be instrumental in designing the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for our product used for space application. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is working towards contributing to the forefront of space technology.


∙The Designer will play a pivotal role in our product development lifecycle, contributing to the design, manufacturing, assembly and qualification.


∙The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturers and product managers, to ensure

that our motor design meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. ​

Responsibilities & Skill Set


∙Part of the development team for special type of electric motors


∙Responsible for construction of electric motors and their interfaces including the definition and coordination of technical requirement


∙Good knowledge in PMSM & BLDC Motors.


∙Perform mechanical design and CAD modelling (2D &3D) as per product requirement


∙Perform static and dynamic structural analysis using FEM tool


∙Bring out different natural frequencies, stress level at critical locations and design the motor to withstand the vibration level if specified.


∙Maintain the document of design iterations, analysis and results.


∙Perform the optimization of design for performance, manufacturability and robustness


∙Release the drawing for manufacturing


∙Assist the manufacturer to achieve the final part in given limits, fits and tolerances


∙Involve in the process of procurement, assembly and qualification/testing of motor


∙Familiar in aligning permanent magnet rotor with stator unit, dynamic balancing of the rotor and final testing of the motor


Qualification:


∙B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 3 years of experience in design of various mechanical elements of PMSM/BLDC motors, assembly of the stator, rotor and its housing, selection of different mechanical components such as bearing, Circlips etc,


∙Candidate should have sufficient experience in structural analysis of the motor unit by FEM


∙Strong analytical and engineering skills


∙Good interpersonal skills and team player


Software proficiency:

∙Thorough with modeling tools such as NX-CAD


Thorough with analysis tools such as Ansys Mechanical and Simcenter
