If this sounds like a good opportunity, we’d love to meet youThe Financial Accountant is responsible for executing on the period-end close process and supporting the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. You will prepare and review all general ledger journal entries, complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations.. As SambaNova Systems and our team grows, we are seeking a dynamic Financial Accountant, who will champion process improvements, and will drive accounting excellence.

Job ResponsibilitiesCore book-keeping responsibilities for our group accountsAnalyse and prepare monthly journals and postingsInternational GST/VAT reviews and submissionsBusiness compliance for our international regionsBalance Sheet management for all international subsidiaries for relevant categories.Assist in the completion of regulatory compliance activities as directed by the Assistant ControllerPartnering with our external local accountants to ensure accurate month end reportingAssist in creation of processes and controls for our global financial reporting & compliance requirementsProcessing of inter-company posting, invoices and journalsProcess and monitor payments and expenditures effectively and efficiently to ensure that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limitsReconcile and record Company credit cardsReceive and verify invoices and purchase requisition for goods and servicesAssist with month-end close, quarterly reviews, and year-end audits as neededEnsure compliance with Company purchasing policy & PO process, including conducting 3-way match process as neededReconciliation of all assigned accounts on monthly basis to ensure timely month end closeAssist in the external audit process, specific focus on collecting key financial and accounting dataEnsure SOX compliance with accounting policies and proceduresPost cash transactions daily and perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial dataEnsure proper GL Accounting; included but not limited to cash, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, as part of month end close processProvide narrative on balance sheet movements and be able to explain to peers what makes up balances and why they have movedPerform period-end accruals, accounting schedules, and month end journal entries to ensure the necessary support and documentation has been attachedParticipate in financial statement audit; responding to PBC lists, providing selections for testing, and answering auditors' inquiriesAssist with annual international tax return preparationTake on ad hoc/special projects as neededPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Basic QualificationsBA/BS Degree with focus in Finance or AccountingProfessional accounting accreditation highly desirableMinimum of 5+ years of high-volume journal entry experience in a corporate environment, inventory purchases highly desiredStrong attention to detail, and ability to multitaskStrong analytical, verbal, written communication, and problem solving skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysisThrives in a growing organization with excellent attention to detail, follow up, critical thinking and analysisTrue team player, ability to work effectively with peers and other departmentsAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDetail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibilityAbility to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment where change is constantSelf-starter with ability to proactively head off potential problemsAbility to work remotely and communicate well with all levels of the organizationMicrosoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, match, etc.)NetSuite and Coupa experience would be highly desiredMust have experience working with G-suite, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe pdf software
