Hiring for Lead Structural Engineer , with 10+ Year experience from Oil & Gas industry with offshore experience with advanced knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education

Work Location: Hyderabad

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Shall be Reporting to the HOD /Structural Lead Engineer.
• Shall perform structural engineering dealing with Onshore & Offshore oil and Gas structures. (FPSO, fixed and floating offshore structures and jack-up rigs using a combination of STAAD, SACS, Mathcad, and Excel VBA.)
• Shall have experience in performing in services, Preservice, Blast, fatigue analysis and weight control management.
• Review project documents/drawings for own work scope received from client.
• Coordination with other disciplines, project & site for inputs, schedules, and related issues
• Checking Calculations, General Arrangement & Detail Drawings and MTO
• Attending inter discipline meetings, internal model reviews & model review with client.
• Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
• Ensuring all deliverables comply with quality as per Project specifications & standards.
• Review of vendor drawings/other discipline drawings for adequacy of Civil & Structural design input requirements
• Preferred have experience on constructability review.
• Must have experience in material estimation, schedule, resource planning and resource development activity.
• Exposure to Quality need of ISO 90001 & Environment need of ISO 14001 along with safety Design review
• Produce site surveys and reports / check lists, and carry out survey Liaise with drafting team for detailed drawing preparation etc.
• Works within Departmental and Project procedures, Client standard procedures and to recognize Engineering Standards.
• Receives As-built data from fields through PMT and ensures proper Incorporation to as-built drawings.
• Ensure preparation of as-built drawings.
• Prepare technical input for site queries related to his discipline.

Desired Candidate:

• Develop proposals, run design calculations (by hand and by software- STAAD PRO, SACS) and execute design projects.
• MUST have completed a minimum of 5 full projects on end-to-end basis (from proposal to execution)
• MUST have Knowledge and exposure of Offshore Industry Engineering standards & Codes - API, AISC, ASCE, BS, EURO, OSHA, ACI, AWS
• Major experience should be from offshore & onshore work specific to upstream Oil & Gas facility design.
• Experience in the preparation of FEED & Detail Engineering of offshore & Onshore works independently and carried out Checking / Review of deliverables in at least one project is essential.
• Work exposure to 3D tools (S3D/E3D/PDMS) using Navis work and discipline Analysis & Design software such as Staad, SACS, Idea Static etc. is required.
• Preferred Hands-on experience on proposal estimates including man hour estimate, Cost & Quantity estimate.
• Experience on preparation of the Design calculation through XL spread sheet will be added point.
• Field Engineering Support activities concerned with design reviews; technical developments; and engineering resolution related to design.
• Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
• Safety Responsible for personal safety and working within the OHS&W procedures.
• Maintain project tracker and adhere to the required scope, quality and timelines
• The successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player.
• Good communication skills in the English language with the ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written correspondence are essential.
• The incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and should have the ability to manage and priorities workloads independently, and assist in resolving technical issues and capturing Lessons Learned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BE/MTech in Structural Engineering

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques, Proficiency in STAAD Pro, SACS, Mathcad, Auto Cad. Proficiency in Tekla and PDMS has an advantage
