Company Description
We are a fast-growing agri-tech start-up redefining sustainability and value in India's export-driven agro-commodities sector. Our venture specializes in building regenerative farm-to-fork supply chains for oilseeds, herbs and spices. If you're excited by rapid growth, innovation, and making a tangible difference, join us on the ground floor
What Makes This Role Unique
- Autonomy: You'll have a high degree of independence and be empowered to take initiative on the ground as we scale our farm and compliance operations.
- Leadership Track: For high performers, this role offers enormous long-term growth - potentially evolving into Head of Certification, Operations Lead, or regional management as we expand.
- Start-up Agility: Bring your ideas and energy - your actions will directly shape the company's culture and impact.
- Field-Based Impact: Regular farm visits across Gujarat and neighboring states will put you at the heart of sustainable agriculture transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of organic, regenerative, and related certifications (NPOP, ROC, regenagri, Fair For Life, USDA NOP, EU Organic, etc.).
- Develop and implement farm practices and SOPs to meet all certification and export standards.
- Coordinate and document compliance across field activities—planting, inputs, harvest, grading, processing, and traceability.
- Liaise with certification bodies, APEDA/FSSAI, field auditors, and export partners for routine inspections and audits.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate farmer and FPO (Farmer Producer Organization) training programs on regenerative agriculture.
- Maintain digital and physical documentation, including field books, certification records, and traceability logs.
- Proactively manage field risks: identify and deploy corrective actions related to non-compliance or supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with sourcing, agronomy, processing, and quality teams to ensure optimal farm-to-factory operations.
- Travel extensively to deliver on-site farmer and FPO training programs on regenerative and organic agriculture practices.
- Build and nurture on-ground relationships with partner farmers and stakeholders.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Food Tech, Certification, or Sustainability.
- 4+ years' hands-on experience with organic, regenerative, or export-focused agri-operations/certification.
- In-depth practical knowledge of NPOP, ROC, USDA NOP, EU, or regenagri protocols, and third-party audits.
- Demonstrated ability to train and engage smallholders and FPOs; proficiency in Hindi and Gujarati a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to rural farming areas (approximately 40-60% travel time expected).
- Strong skills in compliance management, digital recordkeeping, and agricultural traceability platforms.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving, communication, and people skills—ready to thrive in a start-up environment.
- Authentic passion for sustainable agriculture and social/environmental impact.
Desirable/Bonus
- Lead Auditor or Internal Trainer certification (NPOP, ISO 22000, FSSC, ROC, or similar).
- Experience with carbon certification, supply chain digitization, or data analytics.
- Exposure to digital field data apps, traceability or ERP systems.
What We Offer
- Autonomy to build and optimize real-world, future-ready agri supply chains.
- A path for fast-tracked career growth and leadership in an expanding organization.
