Job Description: Construction Manager 

 

Role Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction of residential projects, including high*rise apartments, villas, and weekend homes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in civil engineering and extensive experience in residential construction. The role demands leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to ensure project completion within the defined scope, time, and budget. 


 Key Responsibilities: 

1.   Project Planning and Execution: 

·    Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. 

·    Ensure all construction activities align with project goals and timelines. 

·    Coordinate with architects, consultants, and engineers for design and technical solutions. 

2.   Site Management: 

·    Monitor and supervise construction activities at the site to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. 

·    Resolve on-site challenges and implement corrective actions promptly. 

·    Ensure the availability and efficient utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment. 

3. Team Leadership: 

·    Manage and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. 

·    Conduct regular meetings to review project progress, address issues, and align objectives. 

4. Quality Assurance: 

·    Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures throughout the construction process. 

·    Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards. 

5. Safety and Compliance: 

·    Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations. 

·    Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliances are met for the project. 

6. Stakeholder Coordination: 

·    Liaise with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. 

·    Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and milestones. 

7. Budget Management: 

·    Monitor project expenses and control costs to avoid overruns. 

·    Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety. 


 Qualifications and Skills: 

·    Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Civil Engineering. 

·    Experience: 8 to 10 years in residential construction projects, especially high-rise apartments, villas, and weekend homes. 

·    Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and technologies. 

·    Proficiency in project management tools and software. 

·    Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. 

·    In-depth knowledge of safety standards, quality assurance, and compliance protocols. 

·    Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
