About the role: Lead the design and hands-on development of backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and MySQL. The role involves owning modules end-to-end — from requirement analysis to production delivery — with focus on quality, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities: • Conduct technical assessments (e.g., VRA, security checklists) required by new BFSI clients. • Design and develop backend components and REST APIs using Spring Boot. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code. • Design database schemas and write optimized SQL queries in MySQL. • Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards. • Work with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver stable releases. • Troubleshoot issues in development and production environments. • Mentor junior developers and help improve overall code quality. Good to have: • Education: B.E./B. Tech/M. Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute. • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in Java backend development with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role. • Strong knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, and RESTful services. • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. • Hands-on experience with MySQL including schema design and query optimization. • Familiar with version control (Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle). • Exposure to Docker, AWS, or similar technologies is an advantage. • Good understanding of software design principles and performance considerations.
