Big Data Engineer,

will be responsible for all aspects of Reconciliation platform design and development, delivery and adoption of our next generation solution.Responsibilities:As part of the Global Reconciliation Utility (GRU) and Data Engineering team development and support of our reconciliation processing and reporting platforms.Provide expertise in areas of product design, software development and ensure application design adheres to the overall Citi’s architecture blueprintDeliver effective, efficient and high-quality solutions to our partners with focus on simplified process, minimizing manual touchpoints and providing self-service accessibilityProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsResolve variety of high impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsActively participate in defining priorities and best sequence for execution in support of GRU strategy.Liaise with the various Business Stakeholders across LOBs, Global Risk & Finance to provide a cohesive and comprehensive solutionsInfluence & negotiate with the Senior Business and Tech Management to prioritize needed execution on the Enterprise wide Data strategies.Foster a culture of innovation and Engineering Excellence across all projects delivered.Implement and adopt best in class DevOps processes across all applications managed.Provide support towards budget and forecasting exercise.Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirementsManage and maintain required disaster recovery plans, oversee appropriate testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applicationsChampion diversity, inclusion & Voice of Employee metrics across the organization.Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teamsEnsure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirementsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standardsQualifications:8+ years of experience in large Financial Services or Insurance or Telecom companiesProven experience in Software Development and Big Data experienceExpertise with data reconciliations, data quality, large data processing and controlsExpertise leading large scale Enterprise Transformation initiatives with a clear track record of successExpertise presenting & socializing with Senior Management across Business & TechnologyAbility to articulate intricacies of Technology ArchitectureDeep functional and technical experience in Capital Markets across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk & Finance.Demonstrated leadership, management, and development skillsExperience managing development teams with a global footprintSkills required:Strong Product Delivery skillsExpertise in gathering business requirements, process visualization and optimizationDetail oriented and proven analytical skillsSolid relationship building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management and employees across business units.Must have practiced Agile/ScrumHands on experience with the following tools and technologies:Hadoop, Spark, KafkaRelational SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with Java, Scala, Microservices Expertise in Big Data querying tools e.g. Hive and ImpalaExperience with NLP/Machine learningExperience with reporting tools, like TableauEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredPMP Certification, specific business Licenses beneficial------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Technology
