Job DescriptionPosition Overview:

ServiceNow is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Software Engineer in Platform Persistence to solve complex problems in management of data lifecycles within the ServiceNow ecosystem. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the efficient stewardship of data within our platform.

The Platform Persistence team is at the forefront of some of the most impactful projects, offering visibility to the executive leadership. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform's data architecture and ensuring that data is stored, retrieved, and managed efficiently.

In addition to traditional data management, this team will have a unique focus on telemetry and data visualization, making a substantial impact on how customer and platform data is utilized and presented.

Key Responsibilities:Working experience on at least high-level framework Angular, React.Hands-on on web development with HTML, CSS, Javascript.Working experience on any UI test automation framework(s) like Selenium, Protractor, Cypress.Writing highly scalable code leveraging best practices and exercising design principles.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data lifecycle related initiatives.Explore and experiment with challenging data problems including but not limited to data loss detection & recovery.Champion data best practices and security standards across the organization.Monitor and optimize data performance, troubleshooting and implementing improvements as needed.Stay current with the latest data storage and management technologies.Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Experience on ServiceNow native UI development frameworks is a plus.

QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.6+ years of software development experience within a high-traffic, cloud-based environment.2+ years of web development experience with debugging and fixing UI bottlenecks resulting in improving the UI responsiveness.Proficiency in Java programming and strong expertise in data structures and algorithms.Working knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data storage technologies.Strong understanding of cloud-based and distributed systems.Familiarity with ServiceNow platform is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
