Position: Piping Designer

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop 2D and 3D piping designs in accordance with project requirements.
  • Create Piping GA, Equipment GA, Structural GA, and Plot Plans.
  • Develop and review piping isometrics based on GA drawings and P&IDs.
  • Perform 3D modeling including equipment, piping, structures, pipe supports, and instruments.
  • Generate 3D model drawings using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, line lists, and supplier data.
  • Ensure designs are safe to operate, meet required codes and standards, and perform data consistency and clash checks.
  • Prepare piping layout drawings with optimal routing and accessibility.
  • Review vendor drawings and check 3D models for accuracy and compliance.
  • Document and report project progress, design validations, and construction completion status in coordination with project engineers.
  • Prepare design basis documents and project technical documentation.
  • Incorporate feedback from project teams and clients for design clarifications and modifications during all project phases.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, and supplier information.
  • Ensure timely delivery of error-free drawings and documentation, following company procedures and optimizing available resources.:
  • Perform detailed checking of drawings, isometrics, and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
  • Verify dimensional accuracy, material specifications, and consistency between P&IDs, GAs, and isometric drawings.
  • Identify and communicate design discrepancies or clashes, and coordinate with designers to implement corrections.
