Job Title: Safety Supervisor Description The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role involves monitoring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety training, and leading incident investigations to minimize workplace hazards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. Lead investigations into accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees and management. Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant regulations. Respond promptly to safety emergencies and incidents. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) are advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Skills Risk assessment and hazard identification Regulatory compliance knowledge (OSHA, EPA) Incident investigation and reporting Safety training and education Emergency response planning Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Leadership and team management Use of safety management software .
