Role overview:Here is an exciting opportunity that allows you to work with UAS (Unmanned aerial systems)/ Drones, and related solutions and sets you up for a great journey in the UAS space globally.We are looking for an “Intern – UAV Embedded Hardware Engineer” to join our growing product development team. Requirement is immediate, and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about UAS/ Drones and aerospace systems.

Role: Intern – UAV Embedded Hardware EngineerFunctional Area: Aerospace Engineering or similarEmployment type: Full-time, PermanentIndustry: Aerospace (UAS)Location: Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) for various hardware applications.Assist in the development and integration of hardware subsystems, ensuring seamless communication between components.Work with various communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, and more to ensure proper interfacing and functionality of hardware components.Collaborate with the firmware and software teams to ensure smooth integration of hardware and software components.Participate in the schematic design, layout, and verification processes for PCBs.Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of hardware designs to meet project specifications and requirements.Document designs, processes, and test results, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in hardware development and communication protocols.

Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.Solid understanding of PCB design principles, including schematic capture and layout using tools like KiCad, Altium Designer, or similar.Familiarity with various communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, etc.Experience with hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with power management and signal integrity considerations in PCB design.Familiarity with hardware simulation tools for circuit analysis and validation.Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and other embedded systems components.Knowledge of EMC/EMI design practices and standards.Experience working on drone hardware, including propulsion systems, communication modules, and payload integration.
