We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.In this role, you will:- Strong GCP data engineer with experience on groovy scripting for automation- Strong experience on Terraform scripting and Unix shell scripting- Strong experience on various GCP components like compute engine, GCP Storage, GCP Bucket, App Engine, cloud SQL etc.- Strong Experience in Postgre SQL- Strong Expertise in Data stage 9.1,11.5, 11.7.- Strong Expertise in Databases- Strong Experience is writing complex SQL queries to perform data analysis.- Working on automation using Jenkins, artifact repository, Git Hub, Nexus, Groovy and source repository. Solid understanding of Data warehousing concepts.- Demonstrable Architectural/design experience in ETL/Business Intelligence projects- Develop and Unit Test ETL code in Data Stage.- Knowledge on Control-M or any Scheduling tools- Knowledge on Dev Ops methodologies- Strong understanding of BI toolset and capabilities- Experience and ability to apply SDLC methodology.- Delivering projects from requirement to implementation under Agile project methods. Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective- Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings.- Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.- Delivery and support of data related infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications.- Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the Dev Ops team.- Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:- Minimum 7 to 10 years development experience- Minimum 5 years of Experience in Data stage development- Experience working in a global, corporate environment- Understanding and experience of delivering within an Agile / Dev Ops environment using Jira- Experience using Kubernetes,nginx, Docker and Postgre DB- Hands-on experience on Redis, Flask, VUE/Jest.- Decent exposure to GCP architecture and engineering knowledge is a plus.- Beneficial to have an understanding of CI/CD process and exposure to project management toolsYou’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
