Education :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in an architect role focusing on DevOps.

Certifications : Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.

Technical Skills :

- DevOps Tools : Expertise in Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.

- Cloud Platforms : Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-native services.

- Programming/Scripting Languages : Strong skills in Python, Bash, Groovy, or other relevant languages.

- Monitoring Tools : Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or equivalent tools.

- Version Control : Proficiency with Git and branching strategies.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Experience in using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements.

- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

1. Architect and Design DevOps Solutions :

- Design end-to-end DevOps architectures, encompassing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud deployments, and monitoring frameworks.

- Develop scalable and reliable solutions for automated deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

- Assess current technology architecture for weaknesses and recommend solutions for improvement.

2. Cloud Infrastructure Management :

- Lead cloud architecture design and implementation on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Utilize cloud-native services for serverless computing, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and scalable storage solutions.

- Implement cost-effective and performance-optimized cloud solutions.

3. Automation and Configuration Management :

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Design configuration management strategies with Chef, Puppet, or similar tools to maintain consistency across environments.

4. Containerization and Orchestration :

- Architect containerized solutions using Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.

- Design strategies for microservices deployment and management.

5. CI/CD Pipeline Design and Implementation :

- Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.

- Implement quality gates and automated testing as part of the pipeline for code quality and security checks.

- Enable automated rollback and recovery processes for zero-downtime deployments.

6. Monitoring and Incident Management :

- Design and implement monitoring strategies using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

- Architect incident management solutions with automated alerts, dashboards, and incident response plans.

7. Security and Compliance :

- Integrate DevSecOps practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring security is a part of the development lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations by implementing security controls, audits, and documentation.

8. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to align on objectives and delivery timelines.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and DevOps teams.
