Job Description: Mechanical Engineer (Piping & Electro-Mechanical Works)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a Diploma or Graduate Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the execution of drinking water projects.

The role requires a deep understanding of piping networks, overhead tank (OHT) installations, and all associated electro-mechanical works. You'll be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of all mechanical aspects of our drinking water projects.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Oversee the complete execution of mechanical works for drinking water projects, including pipeline laying, valve, pipe installations, pump house construction, and OHT erection. all type of electro mechanical equipment installation
• Site Management: Manage daily site activities, ensure work is carried out according to project plans and specifications, and coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the site team, troubleshoot issues related to piping, pumps, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, material consumption logs, and inspection reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the project manager, civil engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the execution of drinking water projects.
• Extensive knowledge of piping materials (DI, HDPE, PVC) and installation techniques.
• Prior experience in the installation and commissioning of Overhead Tanks (OHTs).
• Familiarity with the installation of pumps, valves, and other electro-mechanical components in a drinking water context.
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
