Join us as we work to transform Thomson Reuters into a truly data-driven company.This is a key role, within our Data Stewardship team, working out of our global office in Bangalore.As a Senior Data Steward, you will support data governance and data quality initiatives within one of our key business functions, with an initial focus on our critical customer, contact, and product master data domains. You will collaborate with data consumers, data creators, and the central Data & Model Governance team to diagnose root causes and drive measurable data improvements.This may include a mixture of preventative and reactive data remediation activities.You will be a key player and pioneer in the adoption and development of data stewardship operations within the business function you support.About the RoleIn this opportunity as Senior Data Steward you will:Work with the Data Governance team to:Implement data controlsdrive compliance with data standardsWork with cross-functional data stewards to:maintain data catalog informationmonitor and manage data health within your portfolioInvestigate data issues to identify root causesIdentify and implement preventative data remediationsReview data exception reports and implement corrections, as requiredParticipate in system and process improvement projects, to supportParticipate in the Thomson Reuters Data & Model Steward NetworkAbout YouYou’re a fit for the role of Senior Data Steward if you meet all or most of these criteria:Bachelor’s degree required, with overall 9+ years of experience.7+ years experience in Digital, Data, Analysis, and /or Technology rolesPractical experience working within a data ethics/governance frameworkProcess analysis skills, with the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plansThorough understanding of data and systems infrastructuresThorough understanding of data quality managementTechnical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling, and manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx…)
