Job Description
As a Piping Designer specializing in AutoCAD, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate piping design drawings and layouts using AutoCAD software. You will work closely with engineers and other design professionals to develop piping systems that meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Piping Design and Drafting:

  • Develop detailed piping design drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
  • Create 2D and 3D models of piping systems, including pipe layouts, supports, and equipment.
  • Prepare and modify piping layouts, isometric drawings, and installation details.
  • Ensure that designs comply with project specifications, industry codes, and standards.

Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to integrate piping systems with other components.
  • Conduct design reviews and make revisions based on feedback from stakeholders.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Review and ensure compliance with safety standards, industry codes (e.g., ASME, API), and regulations.
  • Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between piping systems and other infrastructure elements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of design changes and revisions.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support and expertise during the construction and installation phases.
  • Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and procurement specifications.
  • Troubleshoot design issues and prop

Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Piping Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Piping Designer or in a similar role, with a strong background in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in designing piping systems for industrial applications is highly desirable.
