Molex is offering a highly visible role for a Firmware Engineer, and you will design leading-edge embedded firmware solutions for the data services industry, influence next generation active cable design in QSFP and OSFP platforms using innovative PHY chips in coordination with signal integrity designers and hardware engineers. You will be architecting, evaluating, and validating and/or designing real-time firmware.
Our Team
Molex is looking for a Firmware engineer to support and develop Active cable designs for Hyperscalers. Our business is witnessing tremendous growth owing to an increasing need for Artificial Intelligence and data transfer rates. You will be working under leadership that has been setting and driving industry standards in data centers for more than 30 years
What You Will Do
You will also work closely with our Hyperscale customers and marketing teams to understand the customer’s application needs and translate them into best-in-class winning solutions. You may also spend firsthand time in Molex lab facilities and delivering innovative development solutions that support our products and drive revenue.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in C and C++.
- Experience in Developing firmware for ARM based MCU and its peripheral.
- Experience in any RTOS or Linux.
- Having sound knowledge of communication protocols like I2C, SPI, MDIO, UART etc.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in cross functional team.
- Experience developing python scripts.
- Have a Bachelors in electronics or computer science.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with STM32 microcontroller
- Experience with optical pluggable modules like SFP or QSFP and CMIS.
- Experience with hardware development and signal integrity
- Have a Master’s or a Doctorate in electronics or computer science
- Experience interfacing chips with API. implementing chip API in microcontrollers
- Experience version controlling firmware using GitLab
