Key Responsibilities


  • The candidate to should handle different tasks associated with i) Motor supplier association & ii) Inhouse motor development projects
  • Strong Understanding of low frequency electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Good knowledge of electric motor design principles and methodologies
  • Characterize machine performance for basic sizing and performance estimations using analytical tools
  • Analysis and validation of designs with FEA calculations in both 2D and 3D
  • Proficiency in ANSYS Motor-CAD, ANSYS Maxwell or similar FEA tools.
  • Motor optimization taking into account different Multiphysics aspects. ANSYS Opti slang proficiency is an added advantage
  • Good understanding of mechanical, thermal, structural & NVH aspects of motor design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure motor design meets specifications
  • Prototyping and Manufacturing of the motors for POC verification
  • Conduct testing and analysis to optimize PMSM motor (or any other motor type) performance and efficiency
  • Platform motor design modification to meet new requirements
  • Tear-down and Benchmarking of Motors
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and design improvements to develop the most power dense, efficient, low cost, and reliable electric motor
  • Design skills of PMSM motor & magnet less motors (SyncRel, Wound field, Switched reluctance motors, Induction motor etc.)
  • Motor supplier association and ensure different motor performance aspects are clearly achieved
  • Good expertise in motor material selection, soft magnetic composites, potting solutions, HRE free magnets etc.

  • M.E / M. Tech (EEE)
  • 4 to 7 Years of Experience in Electromagnetic Motor Design, Prototyping & Testing for Electric Vehicle
