The group in Pune participates in design andverification activities of these complex SoCs. This group has some of the best talent from theindustry and has taped out many controller chips.

About the role - you will:

Work in the Seagate VLSI group on functional verification of IP & SOCs of HDD controller chipsetWork with other Seagate engineers across multiple sites to verify IP and SoCs for use in high-volume storage devicesDevelop Test-bench & Reference models in IP & SoC level verification environmentsWork closely with design engineers to create constrained random based test-benches and testcases to meet the required functional and code coverage metrics with System Verilog using VCSProvide support to the SoC environment in terms of overall tool debugging, script development,and revision control useWork with Seagate and vendor design teams to ensure smooth delivery of IP verification suitesinto the integration environmentWriting test cases, as needed, to enhance functional coverageDocument and Implement Verification PlansDebug and help resolve test failuresCreate reusable verification environments to be used across multiple teams

About you:

Actively pursues opportunities for Front end verificationAlso keen on learning and self-developmentQuick learner in adapting new technologiesShares knowledge with others and is keen to build expertise by working within the teamAbility and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment and across multiple timezones

Your experience includes:

Knowledge of ASIC design flow and toolsGood understanding of Circuit design, Logic design, Setup time, Hold time, Combinatorial andSequential circuits, CMOS and Power consumptionExperience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDLKnowledge and experience with UVM verification methodologyExperience in use of techniques to collect code and functional coverageExperience in use of assertionsExperience with serial storage interfaces such as SATA, SAS and PCIe is a plusKnowledge of disc drive controller architecture is a strong plusTroubleshooting skills and ability to trace causes of a test case failureC++ or other OOP languages with strong background in OOP conceptsScripting skills in Perl, TCL/TK, and C shellSelf-motivated & a strong team playerStrong debug and analytical skillsAbility to quickly learn new tools and technologiesAbility to interface effectively with many diverse groups and people across multiple locationsSelf-starter and self-motivated personality
