Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities (Minimum 5 Years Experience Required)
1. Responsible for the design of machine elements, machine tool parts, and sub-assemblies with GD&T. Implement processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly throughout the product life cycle.
2. Create design documents like manufacturing drawings and BOMs, following drawing standards.
3. Oversee manufacturing, assembly, and testing of machines.
4. Design or modify engineering layouts and detailed drawings/specifications under supervision.
5. Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components. Identify sources for critical parts and resolve technical issues.
6. Work with vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables.
7. Resolve moderate mechanical problems.
8. Implement concepts for product issues and mechanical solutions.
9. Help develop mechanical product specifications based on market research.
10. Establish task priorities with supervision.
Skills Required
1. Machine Design Calculations
2. SolidWorks proficiency, including assembly and part modeling
3. GD&T interpretation and applications
4. Manufacturing drawing preparation
Pre-requisites
1. Ability to execute core mechanical engineering design independently
2. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
3. Skills in problem-solving, communication, customer orientation, project management, and teamwork
4. Proficiency with Pro/E for design and MS Office
5. Knowledge of machine tools, electromechanical systems, and coordinating manufacturing, assembly, and testing
6. Understanding of mechanics, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, material science, strength of materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer, measurement control, and stress analysis
